Baosteel Practices of Steel Structure Residence Drew Attention

Recently in the "Steel structure residence forum of Shanghai Metallurgical Expo" hosted by Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group Baosteel Building System Integration Co., Ltd., the report of "Technology system of Baosteel's steel structure residence product" drew extensive attention. The attending specialists, scholars and representatives from real estate sector believed that Baosteel's assembly type residence design concept and implementation mode conformed to the state's general development direction of building resources saving type and environmental friendly type society, and were worth promoting, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.
The forum adopted the theme of "Baosteel's green residence constructs happy life". Baosteel Building published the report of "Technology system of Baosteel's steel structure residence product". In recent years, Baosteel has conducted systematic research and engineering practice for steel structure residence technologies, and has made major breakthrough in terms of PC research of fire resistance, corrosion resistance, earthquake resistance, node connection technology and three sheet system of steel structure. Among other things, the two technologies of "Research on shear wall with seamed steel plate" and "Research on connection node of outer casing type cold bending square and rectangular steel column--H-shaped steel beam" received the authorization of 10 patents. In 2008, Baosteel undertook the complete steel structure residence quarter of Dujiangyan's “Xingyan?Yiyuan" with EPC mode, and took the lead to promote and implement steel structure building for civil use in domestic earthquake region. The project became the demo quarter of World Steel Association's Livingsteel project in China.
In the forum, vice chairman Liu Zhe of China Construction Metal Structure Association, president Fushimi Fushiaki of Japan BUN Consultation Co., Ltd., vice president Tang Ying of Broad Sustainable Building Technology Co., Ltd., professor Li Guoqiang of Tongji University all delivered the conception related to the practice and future development of steel structure residence, which were quite instructive to the participants.
The participants believed that now China's residence industrialization level is still lagging much behind that of foreign developed countries. With industrialized pre-fabrication and assembly type technology as the guide, energy saving and environmental protection as the principle, Baosteel drives the technological upgrade and progress of the entire building industry through the development of competitive industrialized steel structure building products of spacious market space.
