OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2011. The IV St.Petersburg International Innovation Forum was held in St.-Petersburg. Within the scope of this event 14 innovation enterprises of Karelia have taken part the exhibition that took place in Lenexpo Fairgrounds.

The exhibition was aimed at searching investors for projects, home and international market promotion of innovative produce, establishing contacts to representatives of scientific institutes, companies, representatives of other regions.

As the exhibition participants from Karelia mentioned, guests of the exhibition have shown a keen interest in our produce. Such products of small innovation enterprises of Petrozavodsk State University as complexes of wireless communication facilities, a holographic microscope for underwater works, as well as technologies for timber processing and transportation were of the utmost interest. The laboratory of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies of Karelian State Pedagogical Academy has presented their registered invention of application of a nanocoating on metals and alloys that imparts new properties to them. Attention of guests was caused by the project of Korund Ltd., which goal is production of unique building materials on the basis of basalt rocks with use of nanotechnologies. Onegokart Ltd., demonstrated new models of LED lamps.

Foreign companies from Finland, Czechia, Germany, Belarus have also taken part in work of the IV St.Petersburg International Innovation Forum.
