By the end of 2012, land market in Ukraine should start functioning, President Viktor Yanukovych said during a meeting with the administrative and economic leadership of the Khmelnytskyi region in Kamyanets-Podilskyi. "We will not stop and will move only forward in this matter," Viktor Yanukovych said.

He stressed that land reform is particularly important for those regions of Ukraine, where agriculture occupies a significant place in the structure of the economy. He recalled that for the Khmelnytskyi regionthe share of agricultural sector in the economic structure is 40%.
