OREANDA-NEWS. On 19th of November, TUT will be transformed into an Olympic stadium – the virtual track & field competition of the Kinect Olympics is taking place in cooperation with Microsoft AMONG TUT STUDENTS AND ACADEMIC STAFF, reported the press-centre of TUT.

Kinect Olympics is a Microsoft Kinect Xbox 360 competition. Kinect (or Kinect for Xbox 360) is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game console which enables its users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller, through a natural user interface using gestures and spoken commands.

The teams will compete in 5 events: 100 meter sprint, 400 meter hurdles, discus throw, javelin throw and long jump.

Create your own team of 5-12 members that includes at least 1 international student, 1 Estonian student and 1 member of the academic staff. The more nations participating, the better! Guinness Record, watch out! Kinect Olympics will make an attempt to set the Guinness record in the "most nationalities competing on Kinect" category.

The prize for the best team is a Kinect Xbox 360! But of course, lots of great surprises and wonderful gifts for other contestants and for the public as well.
