OREANDA-NEWS. October 13, 2011. Georgia and Armenia unite customs systems unite national customs systems under support of European Union.

The statement from Georgian media says that at the working session on customs reforms implementation issues in Armenia Chairman of Armenian Committee on State revenues Gagik Khachatryan said that creation of single customs control will enable to simplify work of checkpoints on the border between Armenia and Georgia as well as facilitate custom processing procedure.

" To facilitate customs procedure Armenia under support of EU is planning to hold reconstruction and upgrade of customs checkpoints on Armenian-Georgian border",- Gagik Khachatryan stressed.

Design estimate documentation gas already been worked out and soon a tender will be announced on upgrade of existing checkpoints.
