September 2011 Inflation Made 0,4% in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. October 13, 2011. As it was informed by the National Bureau of Statistics, in the last 12 months, from September 2010 to September 2011 the consumer price index in Moldova rose by 8.8%. Food prices in January-September 2011 rose by 4.7%, non-food goods - by 3.8%, rates for services rendered to population increased by 7.7%.
In September of this year food prices remained at the level of the previous month, prices for industrial goods rose by 0.8%. Fees for services rendered to population increased by 0.3%. In September of this year, the country showed seasonal decline in prices for potatoes - by 11.5%, and grapes - by 6,5%, apples and pears - 6%, vegetables - by 0.4%. In particular, carrots fell in price by 10.3%, eggplant - by 9%, onion and garlic - by 6.5%, sweet pepper and cabbage - by 1.5%. At the same time, prices for dietetic eggs rose by 6.9%, vodka - 3.5%, pork - by 3.3%, mutton - by 2.3%, fruits - by 1.9%.
According to the official statistics, in September 2011, prices for most non-food items remained unchanged Moldova. At the same time, fuel increased in price by 2.4%, including liquefied petroleum gas in cylinders - 7.3%, men's jackets and sweatshirts - on 3,5%, construction materials - by 1.3%. According to the NBS, in September increased tuition fees in higher and secondary education institutions by 10.2%, housing rent increased by 2.9%, theater tickets went up by 5.3%.
In September, due to exchange rate fluctuations of the Swiss franc and the euro against the lei rates for interstate rail transport decreased by 12.6%, and air - by 3.2%. Earlier, the National Bank of Moldova has kept inflation forecast for 2011 at 8.4%, but increased the inflation forecast for 2012 - from 5.7% to 7.4%.
