Ukrainian Sports Expenditure Will Grow by 28.5 % in 2011
OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2011. In 2012, the sports sector expenditure will increase by 0.5 billion UAH, or by 28.5% compared to the 2011 figures, totally exceeding 2.2 billion UAH, including the growth of state budget expense by almost 0.4 billion UAH, or 42.3% amounting to almost 1.2 billion UAH.
Throughout next year, this sector’s top-priority activities will be implemented including Ukrainian sportsmen’s preparation and performance in all-level competitions, involving various population groups in sporting exercises, activities rollout aimed at developing and popularizing Olympic movement and Olympic sports.
Expenses have been funded in full for the preparation and performance of national teams in Summer Olympics and Paralympics, and First Winter Youth Olympics 2012 at the amount of 228.9 million UAH.
Also, next year’s draft budget increases expenditure for physical culture, elite sport and reserve sport.
The amount allocated for this is 541.9 million UAH, 14.2% exceeding the 2011 allocation.
Also, 108.7 million UAH out of the 2012 budget costs are about to be allocated for developing sports for the disabled and their sports and physical training rehabilitation.
