OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2011. Today State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan has signed a grant agreement with Korean Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry on automation of intellectual property rights management system for USD 4,2 million.

State Committee reports that the agreement was signed by head of the Committee Ramiz Hasanov on Azerbaijani side and Korean Ambassador in Azerbaijan Jiha Lee- on Korean side.

The grant agreement envisages support of productiveness improvement and growth of intellectual property rights management system’s efficiency, creation of digital library and national information system, specialist training in training centre under Standardization Committee as well as provision of intellectual rights system stability in Azerbaijan.

Within cooperation transfer from paper management system to electronic one will be conducted at the expense of financing from Korean International Cooperation Agency’s (KOICA). The timeframe for project implementation is specified as 2 years.
