OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2011. The Ukrainian agrarian potential could allow providing Ukrainians with own agricultural products completely almost.

This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk during a speech at the Second International Black Sea Economic Forum.

According to the Head of Agriculture Ministry, Ukraine has reached the level number 1 exporter in the world on sunflower-seed oil. Also, the country is actively moving towards self-sufficiency by meat production.

Estimated production of meat and meat products in 2011, is forecast at level of 2215 thousand tons, that by 156 tons more than last year.  As a whole, for 8 months 2011 growth of gross output of agricultural industry constitutes 10.5 %.
