OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2011. The Energy Consulting Group participated in the Second Annual Practice Conference "Operational Risk Management and arrangements for internal control in banks", held by “Reglament”, Professional Edition for specialists of banks and insurance companies, reported the press-centre of Energy Consulting. 

Elena Rozanova, Head of Risk Management Practice of the Energy Consulting Group, and Dmitry Kozlov, Head of Operational Risk and Control Unit of the Risk Department of ZENIT-Bank, made their common presentation "Assessment of Operational Risk Management excellence: structural approach".

Within the framework of the presentation the speakers announced methodological aspects for evaluation of the ORMS performance (Operational Risk Management System) using an operational risk management quality standard developed by the Coordinating Committee of Russian Bankers Association for quality standards of banking activities.

Elena Rozanova: "Problems of operational risk management are crucial for the efficient performance of a credit organization. This standard is a reliable tool for a bank enabling to find drawbacks of its procedure and internal documents in the course of the self-assessment or external evaluation process, to set relevant measures required to reach more high levels of maturity".

All participants of the conference expressed keen interest listening to this report and noted significant possibilities for using these models in practical banking activities.
