Ingosstrakh Insurance Company continues to pay insurance compensation to tourists who have suffered from suspension of activity of the tour operator Luzhniki Travel Company LLC, the responsibility of which is insured for RUB 30 mln. The insurance company receives letters of thanks from the clients who have already got insurance compensation and are satisfied with the quality of Ingosstrakh

The insurance company reimburses expenses actually incurred by the tourists. As of October 5, 2011, payments in the amount of RUB 3 854 066 upon 33 applications for damages of 71 tourists were made. As of the current date, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has registered 77 applications for damages of 181 people. The total amount demanded is RUB 12 900 524. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company continues receiving applications from the aggrieved tourists and pays insurance compensation in the full amount.

Note that insurance compensation under the insurance conditions is paid to every aggrieved tourist after the date of the beginning of its tour. Exactly this date is the date of occurrence of obligation of Luzhniki Travel Company LLC to compensate for damage and, accordingly, the date of occurrence of the insurance event under the public liability insurance contract of the tour operator.

Currently, the amount demanded by the aggrieved persons has not exceeded the insurance amount under the liability insurance contract of the tour operator (RUB 30 mln). The insurance company intends to make insurance payments in the full amount of the demanded claims.

Luzhniki Travel Company LLC has declared suspension of execution of its obligations on August 9, 2011. Consequently, the clients of the tour operator could not make prepaid tours and make the trips they planned. Under the public liability insurance contract of Luzhniki Travel Company, failure to execute or improper execution of its obligations is considered as an insurance event and, accordingly, the expenses incurred by the tourists are subject to compensation through the insurance company. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company continues to make payments in the framework of the insurance contract and accepts applications from the aggrieved tourists.

The company will regularly inform the public about the course of settlement of the case with Luzhniki Travel Company LLC.
