OREANDA-NEWS. October 10, 2011. The commencement ceremony of Lenovo (Hefei) industrial base was held in Hefei October 8. Governor Wang Sanyun announced the start of the project. Sun Jinlong, deputy secretary of CPC Anhui Provincial Committee, delivered a speech. Ni Fake, deputy governor, and Liang Weiguo, secretary general of Anhui Provincial Government, attended the ceremony.

The project of Lenovo (Hefei) industrial base was jointly invested by Lenovo Group and Taiwan Compal Electronics, Inc.. The base will mainly produce notebook computer and all-in-one desktop computer. It is expected that the production capacity will reach 10 million sets annually.

Sun first congratulated on the start of the project on behalf of CPC Anhui Provincial Committee and Anhui Provincial Government. Sun pointed out their investment in Hefei was a strategic choice , which will not only benefit the enterprises themselves but also play an important role in accelerating the development mode and fostering emerging industries for Anhui.
