Accompanied by China's ambassador to DPRK Liu Hongcai member of Standing Committee of Political Bureau of Labour Party of DPRK, Prime Minister of DPRK Younglim Choi visited Baosteel. General Manager of Baosteel Group He Wenbo, Vice General Manager of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd Chenying Met the Prime Minister and the delegation warmly in Baoshan Hotel and both parties then had friendly talk, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.  

Under the invitation of Premier of State Council Wen Jiabao, Younglim Choi made official friendly state visit from 26th to 30th of September. After finishing the agenda in Beijing, Younglim Choi visited Shanghai. During the stay in Shanghai He visited China Pavilion of Expo and some famous enterprises among which Baosteel is one of the important stops.
During the meeting, He Wenbo extended his warm welcome for the Prime Minister's visit to Baosteel and briefly introduced the development and operation situation of Baosteel to distinguished guests from DPRK. He stated that Baosteel is willing to carry out exchanges and cooperation with enterprises of DPRK via multiple channels and make contribution to the development of DPRK.

Yonglim Choi stated that he is very pleased to visit Baosteel. At present, the government of DPRK is attaching great importance on steel industry and considering the industry as the root of industry development. Baosteel as the world famous steel enterprise is worthy of being learnt by steel enterprises of DPRK in many aspects. He hoped both sides will enhance cooperation and push forward the development of steel industry in DPRK together.

After meeting, accompanied by Chenying Younglim Choi and the delegation visited the 3rd phase raw material port and site of 2050 hot strip mill.
