List of "Top 100 of Shanghai Enterprises in 2011" selected by Shanghai Enterprise Committee, Shanghai Entrepreneur Association, Shanghai Federation of Economic Organizations was released. Baosteel Group ranks at No.2 by a total revenue of 272.984 billion RMB in 2010. Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation ranks at No.1, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.  

2010 is a year that top 100 enterprises in Shanghai had very fast growth in operation scale and economic profit. Comparing with top 100 enterprise list in past years, the threshold of stepping in top 100 enterprise list has increased sharply from 1.13 billion RMB in 2006 to 2.69 billion RMB in this year. The threshold of stepping in the list in last year was 1.89 billion RMB.

According to the list Bailian Group Corporation, Bank of Communications, China Pacific Insurance Co., Ltd, QSMC, Brightfood Group Co., Ltd, Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd, Shanghai Greenlands Group Co., Ltd, Yihaikerry Investment Co., Ltd ranks from No.3 to No.10. Annual revenue of the top 10 all exceeds 93.3 billion RMB.

Statistics show that comparing with 5 years ago, total revenue of Shanghai top 100 enterprises has increased by 34.08% to 3187.4 billion RMB; total asset has increased by 23.36% to 9744.8 billion RMB; tax paid has increased by 37% to 260.6 billion RMB and labour force employed has increased 1.07% to 1.316million people. Meanwhile, 36 private enterprises were included in this year's list of Shanghai top 100 enterprises which was the most and a new record since the list of top 100 enterprises in Shanghai began to launch.
