Sviaz-Bank Ranked by Russian Media at Midyear 2011
OREANDA-NEWS. October 7, 2011. Russian business periodicals have published a series of their rankings of the biggest Russian banks, including Sviaz-Bank that is showing a steady financial performance. The rankings are based on studies conducted past halfway through this year.
Kommersant-Dengi Magazine
The magazine has ranked Sviaz-Bank seventh among the biggest profit-earners in the banking community as of July 1, 2011, with 7.2 billion rubles in revenues.
The periodical puts Sviaz-Bank in 26th place among the 100 biggest Russian banks for the size of their net assets (as of July 1, 2011), with 167.8 billion rubles in net assets. At midyear point, the magazine gives Sviaz-Bank 19th place among
Expert Magazine
Expert places Sviaz-Bank 26th, with 166.6 billion rubles in assets, 20.4 billion rubles in equity capital, and 2.5 billion rubles in balance sheet profit, among the 100 biggest Russian banks as of July 1, 2011.
The Bank also made it to the Top 30 banks as corporate lenders for the size of loans they have issued to organizations and enterprises (in 22nd place with 92 billion rubles).
Profil (Profile) Magazine
The periodical puts Sviaz-Bank, with 35.4 billion rubles in equity, in 19th place among the 200Russian banks for the size of their equity capital (as of August 1, 2011).
With the Bank’s current profit estimated at 2.7 billion rubles, it has been named 20th in profit making as of August 1.
The Bank was also placed 27th and 22nd among banks keeping the largest balances in their customers’ accounts and banks that have issued the largest amount of loans to private companies, respectively.
The rankings above were calculated by the periodicals’ own techniques and might be different from the Bank’s official performance figures obtained by the technique of the Bank of Russia.
