OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2011. In the beginning of September, Razgulay Group farms began sowing of winter crops. Wheat crops occupy the largest area - about 120 thousand hectares, against 103 thousand ha in 2010. Now it is already planted about 70% of arable land, reported the press-centre of Razgulay Group.

The largest areas of wheat are located in the Central Black Earth region - more than 46 thousand hectares, and in Rostov region - about 42 thousand hectares.  

Winter rye is sown to 100% of area, which is more than 3.5 thousand hectares, against 2.5 thousand hectares in the past year. Winter triticale crops occupy more than 3 thousand hectares, 30% are currently sown, and barley is sown to 13% of the area, which corresponds to the planned technological schedules.    

Other types of agricultural works are ongoing at holding’s fields: harvesting of rice, sugar beets, corn, sunflower and other oilseeds, preparing soil for sowing of spring crops in 2012. "Our employees already provide the foundation for the agribusiness next year, and soil preparation for sowing, carried out in accordance with all technological requirements, allow us hope for a good harvest," - says Alexey Demyanenko, Director of Agro-Directorate of Razgulay Group.
