i-Free Releases Mobile Navigator for Sales and Discount Coupons
OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2011. i-Free has announced the release of a mobile navigator for sales and discount coupons – DealHunter, a unique iPhone application unmatched in Russia and CIS countries. The coolest thing about DealHunter is that users can add their own information to the database, contributing to what may well become the fullest mobile catalogue of sales and deals in 60 cities.
Not only does DealHunter aggregate the info from the biggest coupon sites in Russia and the CIS, such as Biglion, Groupon, Bigbuzzy, Vigoda.ru, WeClever, KupiBonus, KupiCoupon, and others. The best thing about the new application is that users can contribute to the catalogue, adding their local info about sales and discounts, which the coupon sites may not be aware of.
With users’ contributions, the application stands a good chance of building the fullest database ever. In addition, it builds a community of users who are particularly well informed about the sales and deals available in many cities of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The members of this community will help each other locate the best deals and save money.
What makes DealHunter even more interesting is its spirit of competition: it awards points to users for every piece of info about sales or discounts, which was not previously in the catalogue, and also for using any of the deals input to the database by other users.
Having earned a certain number of points, the user gets a status badge. Users having amassed a record number of points in their city are awarded the status of “Mayor.” You can see your friends’ activity on DealHunter: their point count, rankings, statuses and the info they contribute to the catalogue.
“Deal-hunting is certainly not the only purpose of DealHunter,” said Ilya Chernetsky, Strategic Marketing Manager at i-Free Innovations, commenting on the new release. “We wanted a product that both helps save, and inspires people to be more active, talk to their friends more and express themselves. We hope that, like Foursquare, DealHunter will thrive primarily on user activity.”
The application comes with a plain, friendly interface and a broad base functionality. In the “Next Door” mode, for example, your location is identified and you can view sales close to you, which you can easily locate using a built-in map.
Using a “category filter,” users can customize the info they receive, narrowing it down to the goods and services they really need.
DealHunter is available for free download at the Russian iTunes App Store, and the app stores in Belarus and Kazakhstan. The product is available to iPhone and iPod Touch users, starting from Version iOS 3.2.
DealHunter currently has upwards of 50 Russian and CIS coupon sites in its database. Click here here to see how the application works, or visit the DealHunter site for detailed functionality and options: www.getdealhunter.com.
