President of Turkmenistan Receives Top Manager of Boeing
OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2011. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Serdar Gursoz, Sales Director for Central Asia and Europe for Boeing at the Oguzkhan palace complex.
Expressing profound gratitude to the leader of the Turkmen state for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the guest conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the top managers of the world-renowned company expressing deep satisfaction with dynamic cooperation established with Turkmenistan in recent years.
Greeting the representative of the largest global aircraft manufacturer, which ranks among Turkmenistan’s long-term dependable partners, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the Turkmen side intended to further fruitful cooperation with the American aircraft manufacturing giant in the delivery of state-of-the-art aircrafts to Turkmenistan.
It was noted that the air fleet of the Turkmenhowayollary State National Service had been modernized through this partnerships to meet modern requirements. Nowadays, in Turkmenistan Boeing aircrafts fly on domestic and international routes, the geography of which is extended with every passing years testifying to the success of Turkmenistan’s open door policy and strategy for promoting wide international cooperation.
During the meeting the President and his guest discussed the opportunities to expand further partnerships on a mutually beneficial and long-term basis. In particular, the Turkmen leader approved the long-term plan for bilateral cooperation with Boeing which would enhance Turkmenistan’s air transportation potential given intensive development of this strategic sector.
Highly evaluating the quality and reliability of Boeing airplanes, the Turkmen leader stated that Turkmenistan intended to renew the national civil air fleet with high class aircrafts of latest modifications and confirmed the decision to buy some more comfortable planes. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan was also interested in promoting cooperation in after-sales service and training highly qualified specialists for Turkmen civil aviation at the Boeing Company as it had been discussed during the recent talks between the Turkmen leader and the top managers of Boeing in New York.
The guest presented the model of an aircraft which would be delivered to our country in the near future to the leader of the Turkmen state and thanked for the opportunity of a personal meeting and substantial talks.
Upon concluding the meeting, Mr. Serdar Gursoz assured that Boeing would apply further efforts to justify the credence given to the company in Turkmenistan and expressed belief that cooperation which had the great prospects based on the positive experience of long-term collaboration would be successfully furthered.
