OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2011. Approximately 1 billion rubles - that is the cost of the perspective environment protection program "ECOSTOK", being realized at OJSC "PMZ" today. This program realization became a new reason for Oleg Chirkunov, the governor of Perm region, to visit the company.

The complex ecological program has been running at OJSC "PMZ" from 2008. Its major objectives are to reduce industrial waste discharge to the municipal sewage lines by 1.42 million m3 per year, reduce flushing and storm water discharge to the river Egoshikha left feeder by 70 thousands m3 per year, and decrease fresh water intake from Votkinsk reservoir by 1.42 million m3 per year.

Perm specialists plan to build sewage disposal plant complex to meet these objectives. This complex will unite local sewage disposal plants for individual shops and common usage sewage disposal facilities. At present there have been built some plants for treatment of the sewage of the 57th shop galvanic and etching sites. This sewage is characterized by increased concentration of hazardous chemicals. The works connected with the separation of industrial waste and utility fluid lines are also coming to the end. The building of recycling water supply systems is finished in all "PMZ" shops. The most important objects of "ECOSTOK" program - the filter plant and the sewage disposal plant complex - are planned to be brought into operation up to 2018.

Moreover, realization of the program complies to our strategy of increasing "PMZ" economic effectiveness on the whole, I mean, doing this, we will be able to reduce the fees paid for excess of waste discharge standards, and use these money for solving production and social problems.
