OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2011. Construction of the Baode aluminum oxide project of Shanxi Tongde Aluminum Co., Ltd., a major project in the industrial structure adjustment of Shanxi Province 2011, was officially started, reported the press-centre of Datong Coal Mine Group.

The project was jointly invested by the three shareholders of Shanxi Tongde Aluminum Co., Ltd., namely the Datong Coal Mine Group, Shanxi Huayu Group and Shenzhen Dongying Century Investment Co., Ltd.

Taking advantage of coal and aluminum resources of the Baode county and in line with an energy-saving, emission-reducing principle, the project is designed to be a large-scaled coal-electricity-aluminum circular economic park, with an annual capacity of 6 million tons of bauxite, 2.8 million tons of aluminum oxide, 3 million tons of coal, a coal preparation plant with annual washed capacity of 3 million tons, 2*600,000kw of a self-used power plant,1 million tons of electrolytic aluminum, 200,000 tons of highly refined aluminum products.

Once completed, the project can realize the goal of zero waste water emission. All its economic indicators, including energy consumption, water consumption, etc. will take a leading position in China's aluminum industry.
