OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2011. The Government conducts a consistent policy of strengthening social protection most vulnerable citizens. Thus cost of living for incapacitated persons has increased in the third time during 2011. This was started by vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Social Policy Sergiy Tigipko during a briefing in the Cabinet.

The official noted that since October 1 cost of living for incapacitated persons increased from 764 UAH to 784 UAH and by the end of the year will be 800 UAH. In accordance with increasing cost of living for the disabled will increase in proportion all associated social and pension payments. In particular, it concerns the calculation of pensions, assistance to needy and assistance at the birth of a child.

"If this year we raise social standards four times - on a quarterly basis, in 2012 would be five increases. It is essential that all the social benefits will grow greater rate than inflation it is stipulated in the state budget" -the official said.
