Ukraine Promotes Competition Development in Fuel Markets
OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2011. The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and the Association "Union of operators of the market of oil products of Ukraine" will cooperate with the purpose of creation of an enabling environment for fair competition development in the fuel markets. The memorandum about it was signed by the First Deputy of the Chairman of Committee Yuriy Kravchenko and the President of Association Leonid Kosyanchuk.
The sides have agreed to establish the electronic information system for get an unbiased, objective, complete both the operational information about competitive situation and a price situation in the market of the oil products, necessary for the Committee for researches.
It will allow the participants of Association to represent the information on inquiries of Committee in electronic form via the Internet that will simplify the procedure of preparation, processing and data transmission.
As Yuriy Kravchenko has noted, the Committee in a constant mode of monitoring is watch over a price situation in about 4 thousand gas station.
"This is a large amount of information that is really difficult to collect and analyze. That's why we previously worked with the Association to make uniform rules on the request, response, and information processing. In my opinion, this is, on the one hand, will make predictable actions of the business of preparing the information to the inquiry Committee, on the other - will enable us to respond quickly to market conditions, to feel the pain points in pricing and in those cases where we see signs of violations, to open of proceedings in cases," the First Deputy of the Chairman of Committee has emphasized.
