OREANDA-NEWS. October 5, 2011. The Russian Government has allocated in the federal budget for the 2012-2014 period RUB 152.7 million for financial support of JSC Far East Plant "Zvezda." According to the draft budget prepared for submission to the State Duma, in 2012 the shipyard will get 15 million rubles, in 2013 - 52.2 million rubles and in 2014 - 88.5 million rubles.

Based in Bolshoy Kamen of Primorsky Krai OJSC Far East Plant "Zvezda" is the leading company for repair of submarines of the Pacific Fleet and the only shipbuilder in the Far East specializing in repair, refurbishment and modernization of nuclear missile submarines. The shipyard is majority owned by OJSC Far East Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (DTSSS, subholding of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation), holding a 78.73 percent stake.
