Seminar devoted to technologies for information security by the world leader in the field of solutions for security, data center and system management – Symantec was held in Baku. Seminar was held under support of the Symantec Gold Partner in Azerbaijan - AZEL Company.

Opening seminar Igor Yakovenko – Chairman of the Supervisory Board AZEL noticed that, “data security is one of the priorities for any company and our goal is to provide customers with innovative solutions in this field. Within the frame of the seminar main principles of information security building were considered. Main focus was made on the most actual solutions – Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Security Information Manager (SIM) systems.

Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) 11 suite features new technology for defining search patterns to detect sensitive information, as well as improved risk assessment and remediation capabilities. The latest version supports VML - first and unique on market self-learning system assigned to simplify data confidentiality identification inside the organization.

Symantec Security Information Manager (SIM) enables a documented, repeatable process for security threat response and IT policy compliance via integrated log management and incident response solutions. Symantec Security Information Manager is designed to deliver proactive security protection, helping organizations demonstrate compliance and reduce overall security risk.

Seminar participants discussed modern trends of data and infrastructure management with the help of Symantec solutions. Symantec’s specialists Nicolay Pochinok and Sergei Miltsyn in details presented Symantec technologies and informed about possible ways of data loss prevention. Heads of IT departments, IT-managers and leading engineers who took part at the seminar not only obtained exhausted information on information security but also could ask actual questions from the leading specialists of Symantec and share their experience with colleagues.
