Ukraine Has Chances to Reach Average GDP Growth at 6-8%
OREANDA-NEWS. October 05, 2011. Ukraine has all chances for the next 10-15 years to become a new growth point on the map of Europe. This was stated by the First vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade Andriy Klyuyev in his article "Ukraine's Future: Global Challenges and Opportunities", published in newspaper "Mirror of week".
"On a background of that circumstance, that the nearest years industrialized countries have very limited possibilities, and they are not expected significant paces of growth, I approve: Ukraine has all chances for the nearest 10-15 years to turn to a new point of growth on a card of the Europe. I would compare our country to a sleeping beauty who waits for the awakening", - Andriy Klyuyev wrote.
As he said, today's economic growth of Ukraine at a rate 5 % on a background of growth of the countries of Eurozone, and their average indices of growth in it to year makes 1.4-1.8 %, looked not bad enough "But a difference as this growth enormous. It is necessary for us to move much more quickly", - the First vice-prime minister of Ukraine declared.
He said the Government aims to reach the average annual GDP growth of 6-8%.
For a radical modernization of the Ukrainian economy, writes Andriy Klyuyev necessary scientific and technical innovations in industry, agriculture, public and corporate governance. "Only on the basis of improving the competitiveness of Ukrainian goods on the domestic and foreign markets, we can improve the economic stability of the country. Among them - the new wave of instability that continues to generate systemic problems of key economic centers of the world"- said he.
