Mikhail Berezov Appointed CFO of Bank of Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS. October 4, 2011. Mikhail Berezov has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Bank of Moscow.
Mikhail Berezov was born in 1971 in Ufa. In 1994, he graduated in rocket engineering from the Bauman Institute and in 1997 in Finances and Credit from the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. He is currently studying for a London Business School Executive MBA.
In 1997-1999, he worked at Mezhkombank as the chief expert of the tax planning department, and Deputy Chief Accountant. In 1999, he moved to Russkiy Standart bank as Vice-president, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board - Director of the Finance Department. In 2005, he was appointed Deputy President - Chairman of the Management Board - Director of the Finance Department of VTB 24. Since February 2010, he has worked for Barclays Bank as a member of the Management Board and Senior Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.
In 2010, Mikhail Berezov was ranked one of the top-5 financial directors of commercial banks by the 11th annual rating of the country’s managers, drawn up by the Association of managers of Russia and the newspaper Kommersant.
