OREANDA-NEWS. October 04, 2011. Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Andrey Tsyganov had a meeting with a delegation from China’s antimonopoly authority – the State Administration of Industry and Commerce (SAIC), Beijing, led by Yang Yiwen, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The meeting took place within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between FAS Russia and SAIC towards implementing the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on Cooperation in the field of preventing unfair competition and conducting antimonopoly policy.

Andrey Tsyganov informed the delegation of Beijing SAIC about the main areas of FAS activities. The parties discussed the issues related to antimonopoly enforcement, in particular, antimonopoly regulation in the field of power industry and distribution of natural resources.

The delegation from Beijing SAIC also learned about the main objectives, scope of reference and activities of Moscow OFAS Russia. The parties discussed specifics of the work of regional antimonopoly offices in capital cities, and emphasized priority of the issues related to trading activities, real estate market and construction in big cities.
