OREANDA-NEWS. October 3, 2011. Moscow hosted today negotiations between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Yury Boiko, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister. The negotiations centered on cooperation in the gas sector.

The meeting was held in a constructive spirit. A decision was made to continue negotiations during the next week.
Background

On January 19, 2009 Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy signed two contracts:
— purchase and sale contract for the period from 2009 through to 2019;
— contract on volumes, terms and conditions of natural gas transit across Ukraine for the period from 2009 through to 2019.

On April 21, 2010 addenda to the above mentioned contracts were inked by Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy.
