OREANDA-NEWS. October 03, 2011. Yalta hosted the 11th International Financial Forum with the participation of more than 350 representatives of international financial and insurance community from 42 countries.

The first day of this year`s conference included presentations of the insurance market and investment potential of Uzbekistan. The National Uzbek Evening with participation of Uzbek pop singers, mini-exhibition of national crafts and cuisine took place on the same evening. These events were organized by Information-rating agency SAIPRO supported by the State Insurance Inspectorate, and a number of insurance companies of Uzbekistan.

In this regard, the delegation of Uzbekistan was presented in extended format at the 11th International Yalta Financial Forum. It was composed of 42 representatives of the Ministry of Finance, insurance companies, national artists, craftsmen, masters of national cuisine, and designers.

The speakers at the International Yalta Financial Forum were Chief of the State Insurance Inspectorate of the Ministry of Finance Olimjon Ikromov, chairman of board of Uzagrosugurt Farkhod Karimov, Deputy Director General of Uzbekinvest Jamshid Rizaev, Director General of Alskom Tohir Iminov.

Speakers acquainted participants of the international forum with the insurance reforms carried out in the country since its independence, the current state and trends on the insurance market of Uzbekistan, development of export-import insurance, agricultural insurance, business insurance, financial risks and information and communication risks insurance.

Presentation of the Uzbek delegation caused interest among forum participants. Opportunities created in the country for the development of insurance, the use of Uzbek experience in other countries and application of international developments on the Uzbek insurance market were vigorously discussed.

Number of talks with leaders of the world-famous insurance and reinsurance companies is scheduled for the second day, on the basis of which, according to forecasts, it is expected to establish direct contacts and sign appropriate agreements.
