OREANDA-NEWS. September 30, 2011. According to the legend Refinery dispatch operator got information on emergency situation on the Feed stock tank farm and immediately notified the appropriate services. To the area of conditional accident without delays successively arrived paramilitary gas rescue team, non-professional ERT of work shop #11, fire department-92, and ambulance crew and security department. All participants immediately proceeded to the execution of their duties and special Headquarter made of OJSC TANECO managers and lead specialists coordinated the work.

The situation developed rapidly, work shop #11 non-professional ERT members were the first to respond to oil spill. Upon prompt actions completion one of fighters was injured on the way to control rooms. Paramilitary gas rescue team was ordered to remove the injured person out of the dangerous area and to render first aid, and also to make analysis of atmospheric air and define gas contaminated area. Together with paramilitary gas rescue team members of Fire department#92 were to check their professionalism. To prevent oil burning and decrease gas contamination area they used foam attack. The next stage of conditional emergency situation response was oil collection and ecological monitoring, soil and water analysis in the emergency area and nearest settlements.

The main objective of the training according to Technical Director of OJSC TANECO Mr.Vaisman A., is achieving effective communication and mutual understanding between OJSC TANECO personnel and emergency services. It was also necessary to make sure that the company and specialized departments of Nizhnekamsk Municipal Area have requires equipment for emergency works on the place of oil spill.

As stated by Head of Civil Defense and Emergency situations Department R. Gimadiyev, over 150 people 24 units of specialized machinery were involved in training. The magnitude of the training session is explained by the intension of the Company management to ensure safe operation of Complex. Trained like this the personnel improve its practical skills to follow up remedial actions, to predict the possible effects of oil spills and take measures to prevent abnormal situations.
