TATNEFT Applied Modern Technologies of TatNIPIneft
OREANDA-NEWS. September 30, 2011. Modern technologies of TatNIPIneft are successfully applied at TATNEFT for the purpose of increasing crude oil recovery from the fields that are at late stage of development, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
The technology with application of viscoelastic colloidal suspension on the basis of liquid glass (VUKSZHS) has been developed to enhance the depletion of productive strata. This method of enhanced oil recovery is applied by the Company in the fields represented by reservoirs with heterogeneous permeability.
The advantages of this technology are the use of inexpensive domestically produced reagents and the use of both fresh and saline waste water to prepare a composition. The preparation process involves usage of UPSG-1 plant for preparation of silica gel, developed by scientists of TatNIPIneft (Russian Federation patent for utility model number 48 202) allowing to obtain a suspension with desired properties.
The technological efficiency duration of the VUKSZHS method is 1.5 - 2 years. The average current specific technological efficiency for one well treatment results in additional production of 2,500 tons of crude oil.
The Company also applies the technology using water based emulsion compositions (LPK Technology) to enhance the oil recovery level. The advantages of this technology include a low concentration of chemicals; cost efficiency, ability to control the properties of the injected composition depending on the geological and technical conditions of the site under treatment with the properties of the composition not changing as a result of destructive factors influence.
LPK technology has been implemented in the fields of TATNEFT since 2007. During the period of application additional economically efficient crude oil production has on average amounted to 2,300 tons by the results of one treatment. The technological efficiency duration of the method is 1.5 - 3 years.
Crude oil recovery is also enhanced through application of organosilicon product 119-296I developed by TatNIPIneft, as well as water isolating compositions created on the basis of this product. This method is designed to limit the flow of water in reservoir, eliminate behind the casing flows and provide for additional sealing of production casing in producing wells.
The technology includes preparation of a water isolating composition with its subsequent injection into the isolation zone, technological composition gelling time and putting the well onto operation.
Among the main benefits of the technology there are low viscosity of the water isolating composition, which allows for its injection into the reservoirs with low permeability, as well as frost resistance and insolubility by the reservoir fluids.
The economic effect of the technology's application has results from selling additional crude oil volume.
Introduction of this technology in the oil fields of TATNEFT started in 2011. 12 well treatment operations were performed as of August 10, 2011.
The LPK and water influx limiting technologies developed by experts of TatNIPIneft have been recognized as the best at the XVIII International exhibition "Oil and gas. Petrochemicals" and received the Grand Prix of the contest.
