OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2011. FAS delegation comprising Deputy Head of Cartel Department, Andrey Tenishev, and Deputy Head of Tyumen OFAS Russia, Igor Veretennikov, took part in the workshop “Collision: Theory and Proofs”, organised by the OECD – GVH Regional Centre for Competition in Budapest, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Regional Centre for Competition organises such workshops on a regular basis. Every year representatives of competition authorities from various countries get together to discuss one of the chosen pressing issues of antimonopoly enforcement.

This time the workshop included presentations by competition authorities from different countries on antimonopoly enforcement with regard to cartel agreements. Participants discussed various procedures for investigating cartel cases, types of evidence and supporting economic theories.

FAS officers made a presentation about existing types of evidence used to prove cartel collusion and discussed with the workshop participants the well-established and new methods of combatting cartels.
