OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2011. Ukraine increased electric power export to Moldova 30.5 times in January-August 2011 in comparison with the same period last year, to 384.6 mln kilowatt/hour.

These data were released by the energy and coal industry ministry of Ukraine. It noted that electricity supplies to Moldova for 8 months of the last year had totaled 12.6 mln kilowatt-hour. It should be noted that commercial supplies of Ukrainian electric power to Moldova were restarted in April this year.

The Ukrainian electric power’s cost is 6.1 cents for a kilowatt/hour, being the same as the sale price of the Moldovan hydroelectric power station.
