OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2011. Novikombank was a partner of the IX International Banking Forum "Russian Banks in the XXI century" on the subject: "The modernisation of the Russian banking system: Russia and international Practice." The event was held from 1 to 4 September, 2011, in Sochi.

Russia's largest banking summit was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia , Alexey Ulyukayev, the Deputy Finance Minister of Russia, Alexey Savatyugin, the Department for Licensing Credit Institutions and Their Financial Rehabilitation of the Bank of Russia, Mikhail Sukhov, the Director General of the Deposit Insurance Agency, Alexander Turbanov, the President of the Association of Regional Banks of Russia, Anatoly Aksakov, the Executive Vice-President of RSPP, and the President of the Association of Regional Banks of Russia, Alexander Murychev, as well as representatives of the Federation Council, the State Duma, analysts and experts from Russian and international financial institutions.

Novikombank was represented by a delegation consisting of the Deputy CEO, Elena Shirinskaya, and the Vice-Presidents, Ekaterina Suprunovich and Yuliya Ershova.

Elena Shirinskaya took part in the session: "The development strategy of the Russian banking sector in 2015: a road map for the near future." The President of the Association of Regional Banks of Russia, Anatoly Aksakov, and the First Vice-President of the Association of Regional Banks of Russia, Alexander Khandruyev, both spoke at the meeting. Elena Shirinskaya talked about the benefits of trade and structured finance products when supplying high-tech equipment. Novikombank's knowledge of these modern financial instruments and its experience in using them has enabled it to implement several major projects for clients such as: AvtoVAZ, ITERA, the Industrial Group Roscoe, Vladimir forestry, etc.

Also, during the Sochi forum, the International Banking Council held a meeting, which brought together banking associations from the CIS countries. The Vice-President of Novikombank, Ekaterina Suprunovich, presented the International Banking Club programme "INTERBANKCLUB.COM". Together with Novikombank, the Club is committed to creating a unified information and analytical space in the financial and banking sector through conferences, seminars and round tables, in partnership with reputable associations, banks and businesses. Ekaterina Suprunovich invited all the participants of the meeting to the club conferences, aimed at strengthening and developing cooperation between banks in different countries, as well as their clients and partners.

The Bank has consistently supported the Sochi forum, and this reflects the bank's understanding of the need for direct communication between representatives of the banking community, especially via round tables and sessions, so as to consolidate the efforts of representatives of the banking sector so as to develop the Russian banking system. Novikombank participation in the IX International Banking Forum also gave it a further opportunity to talk about its ongoing projects and to share the experience that it has gained in financing innovative industries.

Novikombank was awarded an Association of Regional Banks of Russia Diploma for its active participation in the Forum.
