OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2011. After the test of a series of performance test indices, the first set of Immersed Ultrafiltration Membrane Pure Water Production Project in China undertaken by Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group with the mode of EP general contracting of independent integration was put into operation smoothly in Baosteel Co., Ltd. Energy & Environmental Department recently. It indicates that Baosteel Engineering's technological capability in pure water production field has reached industrial leading level, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

With the features of low energy consumption, strong anti-fouling and anti-clogging capability, and high pure water recovery rate, etc., immersed ultrafiltration membrane pure water production technology can be applied to the fields of wastewater and reclaimed water reuse with vast prospect of application. In the course of the project, Baosteel Engineering's R&D team researched and integrated the relevant state-of-the-art technologies in the world, and in the meantime explored and adopted the advanced reverse osmosis process conducive to water quality stability and convenient operation, reaching the aim of lowering water production cost and wastewater drainage.

During the execution of the project, Baosteel Engineering's R&D team rapidly responded to each requirement of the customer and optimized the design scheme repeatedly. After overcoming the difficulties such as small floor space of the project, strict cost control and high requirement of automation degree, the team completed the project excellently. After the project is put into operation, it is estimated that over RMB 3 million cost will be saved each year.
