OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2011. The Research and Development Center of the Central Bank has obtained a cooperation agreement with the Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation of Germany (SBFIC) on financial awareness, reported the press-centre of CBA.

The Foundation is reportedly ready to participate at the events dedicated to raise financial awareness and the German Government to allocate funds for this purpose. One of the goals of the cooperation is to prevent groundless borrowings of the population through raising financial awareness from early ages.

In accordance with the cooperation program, measures aimed at raising financial awareness of pupils in selected (pilot) schools of the country are planned in 2011/2012 and the following school years through the support of the Foundation. To that end, a special project aimed at raising financial awareness of pupils at secondary schools of Azerbaijan jointly with the Ministry of Education is under way.

Cooperation with the German SBFIC will serve for mastering economic and financial knowledge and raising the level of financial awareness of the population of the country from early ages.
