OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2011. Power Machines OJSCmanufactured, tested and handed over to the customer a prototype model of TZFG air-cooled turbogenerator with the capacity of 180 MW for the power unit of Permskaya TPP-9.

The new 180 MW turbogenerator is used for gas turbine interface. It is designed and manufactured in dimensions equal to those of a 160 MW air-cooled turbogenerator. TZF air-cooled turbogenerators (for gas and steam turbines) produced by Power Machines are commercially and successfully used at power plants in Russia and abroad.

Power Machines are contracted to supply equipment sets for five new power units which are currently under construction as part of the IES-Holding investment programme. They will serve as basic elements for the ССPPs at Kirovskaya TPP-3, Izhevskaya TPP-1, Vladimirskaya TPP-2, Permskaya TPP-9, and Novo-Bogoslovskaya TPP.

Under the terms of the contracts, Power Machines are to supply each of these power plants with an equipment set consisting of a GTE-160 gas turbine, a 180 MW generator, an excitation system complete with a thyristor starting device, an automatic gas turbine control system, an air filter facility, and auxiliary equipment for the gas turbine unit.

Power Machines are also to supervise installation, provide training for customers' employees at the construction site, manage commissioning, and carry out comprehensive testing and warranty checks.

The equipment is due for delivery to the customers in Q3 2012.
