OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2011. 3 Baosteel projects won the quality technology awards of China Quality Association for the year 2010. The project of key technology research for synergy between electrical procurement based on game price bidding model and supply chain developed by Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd and Bsteel was awarded the first quality technology prize of China Quality Association; the project of series flatness control technology for scaled hot dip galvanizing line by Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd and the project of flatness quality improvement research for cold-rolled high quality home appliances outer sheets by the cold rolling plant of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd were awarded the third prize, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

The project of key technology research for synergy between electrical procurement based on game price bidding model and supply chain was run by spare parts procurement department of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd and this project was committed to the handling of the continuously harsh competition environment in the iron and steel industry and being adapted to national industry policy on structural upgrade, low carbon green and sustainable development road.

Therefore a new kind of E-commerce model can be created for application and service foe the related downstream and upstream companies of the industry supply chain. Through this research project, Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd has managed to develop by itself the synergy platform between purchasing E-commerce and supply chain, and further realized multiple standard electrical purchasing modes of open price bidding, price check and price bidding, comprehensive price bidding and on-line tendering etc.

This has not only provided convenience to Baosteel on-line purchasing from the public but also helped the service provided by external suppliers to Baosteel. This also significantly reduced transaction cost and raised the procurement and supply efficiency.
