i-Free Releases New Mobile Shopping App for iPhone
OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2011. i-Free has added a new product to its Smartphone app portfolio – “Za Pokupkami” (“Going Shopping”), an application for iPhones. Released in February, the Android edition of “Za Pokupkami” is now the most frequently downloaded Russian shopping app on Android Market.
“Za Pokupkami” makes shopping easier and more fun.iPhone and Android users can use the new app to make their shopping lists faster, and then cross their purchases out with their finger on the Smartphone screen as they shop. No paper list or pen are needed.
Auto prompting will accelerate the making of the list. There are hundreds of product titles in the app’s database: groceries, beverages, clothing, shoes, pharmaceuticals, cleaning products, perfumes, cosmetics, home appliances, etc. For extra convenience, the program will automatically group items under categories.
Not only does the app much shorten the making of one’s shopping list and make the list itself more convenient – it actually helps shoppers save money. The shopper will enter the necessary quantities of each item and the approximate prices, and the program will show the spending bottom line. Then the shopper can adjust the list as necessary.
The most unique feature and probably the greatest advantage of “Za Pokupkami” is its multi-platform architecture. It is available to iPhone and Android Smartphone users and also comes in a web version. This means that different users can make and manage joint shopping lists. Lists made by family members or friends under the same index title will be synced automatically to eliminate redundant items if any were purchased earlier.
The “Notes” option helps coordinate shopping lists. Users can add their notes to each item to inform other shoppers. Shopping lists can be texted, emailed or posted on Facebook to facilitate coordination between shoppers.
The app comes with an easy and clear interface. The shopping list looks just like a regular paper list. When a special mode is on, the phone screen will stay on as long as needed for the shopping.
“Za Pokupkami” works both as an easy and helpful shopping list, and a multiuser organizer for coordinated shopping list planning and management. The app is suitable for all kinds of users, complete beginners and accomplished pros alike.
“The Android edition gained a high rating right after launch, and has since remained one of the top most frequently downloaded applications,” said Ilya Chernetsky, Strategic Marketing Manager at i-Free Innovations, commenting on the launch of the iPhone version. “The app’s success and user feedback speak the loudest: “Za Pokupkami” really is a useful product that responds to consumer expectations. We keep improving the app, adding new functionality and more options. We believe that iPhone users will appreciate it, too. It is a multi-platform product, which makes it even more attractive and valuable.”
“Za Pokupkami” is available for download on the Russian iTunes App Store and CIS app stores. The iPhone edition costs USD 0.99 (please add VAT). The web edition is free, and so is synchronization between iPhone and Android-based devices.
The app is supported by Smartphones on Android 2.1 and iOS 3.2 platforms.
