OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2011. Dmitry Medvedev discussed with Mr Kostin the situation on the Russian and global financial markets. The President noted the importance of analysing other countries’ economic policies and measures, and announced that he would soon hold a meeting on financial market problems.

Granting banks broader powers to help prevent money-laundering activity was also discussed at the meeting. Mr Kostin briefed the President on VTB Bank’s proposals in this area.
