Hungary Selected NEC’s Mobile Broadband Router
OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2011. NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) announced today that NEC Eastern Europe Kft.(NEC Eastern Europe), a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC Europe Ltd., received an order for its mobile broadband router, "BBRide," from the National Directorate General for Disaster Management in Hungary. BBRide is a mobile broadband router that provides stable broadband connections by constructing fast, high capacity communication lines by using multiple communication lines, including mobile phones and wireless LAN. The National Directorate General for Disaster Management will use the BBRide to understand the conditions of disaster scenes, such as forest fires and floods.
By combining different types of communication lines, such as 2.5G, 3G, 3.5G and WiFi, BBRide provides fast, high capacity communications. Moreover, since BBRide efficiently divides data between multiple networks based on the volume of communications traffic, large capacity data, such as video, can be communicated in real time when both sending and receiving data. BBRide is able to connect with a number of mobile operators simultaneously and transmit data using the best communication lines. As a result, it provides continuous and stable communications, even from fast moving trains or emergency vehicles.
Mr. Laszlo Tanka, Lieutenant-Colonel of the National Directorate General for Disaster Management says, "The real time video data that is reliably transmitted from disaster scenes through BBRide to our central site, assures that we receive direct and accurate instructions. We are satesfied with the capability of this product and NEC's cutting-edge technology."
Mr. Nicolae Varvara, President of NEC Eastern Europe said, "We are glad to contribute to the National Directorate General for Disaster Management by delivering and installing the first ever BBride solution in Central and Eastern Europe. The successful deployment of BBRide is a result of our newly formed partnership with the National Directorate General for Disaster Management. Having identified BBRide as the most suitable technology to meet the National Directorate General for Disaster Management's special needs, we see this new technology as forming an important component of our security related product portfolio."
