OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2011. Today, during a visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, a delegation led by Rustem Khamitov, President of Bashkortostan visited KAMAZ.

Accompanied by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, and Ravil Zaripov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the high guest visited a number of facilities of KAMAZ. The presidents of the two neighboring republics were also accompanied by top managers of the company, including Sergey Kogogin, Director General.

The delegation visited the automobile plant. The guests were shown the mother assembly conveyor and Research and Development Center where they visited the exhibition of KAMAZ, NEFAZ and TZA vehicles. The presidents were demonstrated new vehicles – the KAMAZ-5490 long-haul tractor with a new cab and the "Typhoon" armored vehicle, KAMAZ’s promising development for the needs of the Russian military.

Then the guests from Bashkortostan went to a subsidiary of KAMAZ – Industrial Park "Master" where they visited CNH-KAMAZ Industry, the joint venture of OJSC KAMAZ and Case New Holland. Production facilities are being constructed now to manufacture equipment for Russia’s agro-industrial complex – namely, tractors, combines and loaders.

After the visit, the guests were presented the SAP program to which KAMAZ pays much attention.
