CFMCC Group Developed Crawler Cranes for Skyscraper Construction
OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2011. The Machinery Company of China First Metallurgical Construction Group (CFMCC Group) announced that, the assembly and commissioning work of a crawler crane of 300t was completed on the construction site of Wuhan Greenland Center, reported the press-centre of MCC.
Up to now all the four crawler cranes have been put into utilization for the building of this skyscraper.
The main building and the podium building of Wuhan Greenland Center are located at the water front in Wuchang, with the engrooving depth of the diaphragm walls of over 60m. Both the weight and the area of the steel bar net are larger than those of any other buildings in Wuhan. The construction works of the diaphragm walls is undertaken by two major domestic contractors on an EPC basis. Since the early of this year, the marketing staff of the Machinery Company of CFMCC Group has attached keen attention to the skyscraper construction. Thanks to their endeavor, the rental contract of the our crawler cranes (two sets of 150t and two sets of 300t) was eventually inked with these two contractors in August.
It is reported that, Wuhan Greenland Center is the largest complex for modern service industry and international financial business in Wuhan, with the core building of 124 storeys and a super height of 606m. The project, with a total floorage area of 3 million square meters, will be completed in about five and a half years. The civil works was commenced on June 28, 2011. After completion, Wuhan Greenland Center will turn out to be the 3rd skyscraper of the world, following Burj Dubai (800m in height) and Shanghai Tower (632m in height).
