OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2011. It was said at the meeting of the Moldovan Agriculture and Food Minister Vasile Bumacov with the deputy head of the Russian Rosselkhoznadzor agricultural supervision service, Aleksey Saurin held in Moscow late last week, the Moldovan Agriculture Ministry reported.

The parties discussed the current bilateral cooperation, special attention paid to supplies of high-quality vegetables, fruit and grapes to the Russian market. Bumacov reiterated the Agriculture Ministry’s stance on the continuous improvement of the quality of Moldovan goods marketed in Russia. In the context, they spoke about Rosselkhoznadzor accepting and publishing urgently a new list of Moldovan exporters of fruits and vegetables to Russia.

Earlier, the Rosselkhoznadzor’s head Sergey Dankvert said at the meeting in Moscow with Vasile Bumacov that Rosselkhoznadzor notes a big potential for increasing Moldovan fruit and vegetable goods supplies to the Russian market, and Vasile Bumacov said then that Moldova plans to increase fruit and vegetables deliveries to Russia at least by 30 percent.
