2012 Investment Program to Cover New Gas Supply Facilities in Lipetsk
OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2011. The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Oleg Korolyov, Chairman of the Lipetsk Oblast Government.
The parties discussed implementation of the Agreement of Cooperation and the Accord on Gasification highlighting that the Oblast Administration fully complied with the assumed obligations relevant to consumers preparation for gas supplies.
The meeting addressed the gas supply development in the Lipetsk Oblast. In particular, the decision was made that the 2012 Gazprom Investment Program would cover the construction of a gas lateral and the Podgornoye gas distribution station (GDS) as well as the capacity build-up at the Volovo GDS.
Alexey Miller and Oleg Korolyov touched upon the construction of sports facilities in the region as part of the Gazprom to Children program. At the moment, the Company is engaged in preparations for the construction of eight sports grounds as well as design and survey work for another three grounds.
Background
Gazprom and the Lipetsk Oblast Administration signed the open-ended Agreement of Cooperation in July 2005 and the Accord on Gasification – in December 2005.
Between 2002 and 2010 Gazprom allocated RUB 1.1 billion for the gasification development in the Lipetsk Oblast. Over this period the regional gasification level rose by 6.4 per cent up to 85.3 per cent. The identical figure throughout Russia averages 63.1 per cent.
In 2011 Gazprom earmarked RUB 55 million for the Lipetsk Oblast gasification. The funds were used to complete the construction of three inter-settlement gas pipelines.
As part of the Gazprom to Children program, six sports grounds were built in the region between 2007 and 2010.
