OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2011. The opening of Caofeidian International Investment and Trade Fair, which was themed “Blue Harbor, Green Industry”, was held in Tangshan in Hebei province on Sept 15.

A number of national and provincial leaders as well as Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs were in attendance.

This year’s event was intended to boost infrastructure construction, manufacturing, modern services as well as the emerging industries that have developed around the port.

The Hebei government decided at the fair to establish a platform for coastal areas to attract investments and funds, thus to strengthen its overall competitiveness.

The government will also focus on the projects of three new costal cities, which are scheduled to play an important role in enriching people’s lives and boosting the provincial economy upon completion.

In addition, the construction of three more new districts-- Caofeidian, Bohai and Beidaihe districts, is also one of the government priorities.
