Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee Selected Suppliers for Buses Category
OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2011. During the X International Investment Forum "Sochi 2011" "Russian Buses - GAZ Group" and "Scania-Rus" companies were chosen as suppliers of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee in the "Buses" category. The agreement was signed by Dmitry Chernyshenko, the President and CEO of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, Hans Tardell, Managing Director of LLC "Scania-Rus", and Nikolay Odintsov, Director of the "Buses" Division at GAZ Group.
Under this agreement, the companies will provide buses for meeting the Organizing Committee's transport needs during the preparation of Olympic and Paralympic Games of

The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee new suppliers have already had successful experiences of partnership; since 2003 more than 260 buses have been manufactured on the Scania chassis, intended for various purposes. Currently the "GAZ Group" production line produces three bus models on the Scania Euro-4 chassis: The GOLAZ "Cruise" tourist bus, GOLAZ "Voyage for intercity travel" and GOLAZ 6228. Next year the production of these models on the Scania Euro-5 chassis will begin.
Dmitry Chernyshenko, President of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, summed up the event:
