OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2011. SC "Olympstroy" spread a document between all the Olympic constructors, which regulates the use of “Green” construction materials. Materials that are delivered to the Olympic construction sites should correspond to strict international ecological standards, and have relevant ecological marking.

Marking shows that heat-insulation material or walls and floor finishing are safe for people’s health, do not harm ecology, and save energy during use of buildings.

SC "Olympstroy" ecological requirements also state that production of the materials for the Olympic venues construction should be ecological.

Lighting and energy saving issues for heating or cooling the Olympic venues are successfully solved with the help of materials used. The volume of energy consumption in the process of the Olympic venues exploitation will be reduced by several times due to fulfillment of “Green” construction conditions. Thus, special low-emission glass is used to cover the faзade of the Sochi Skating Center and the dome of the Bolshoi Ice Palace. It improves heat insulation, reduces loss of heat, reduces condensation, has high transparency.
