OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2011. In August Estonian Air carried 68,896 passengers, which is 16.4% more y-o-y. The punctuality of Estonian Air flights in August was 92%, which is 3.8 percentage points higher than y-o-y, giving Estonian Air the position among the most punctual airlines in the world, reported the press-centre of Estonian Air.

In August Estonian Air carried altogether 68,896 passengers, 59,256 of these on regular flights. The total number of passengers increased by 16.4% y-o-y, and on regular flights by 8.5%.

In the first eight months of 2011, Estonian Air carried altogether 446,912 passengers, 396,706 of these on regular flights. The total number of passengers increased 16.6% y-o-y, on regular flights 14.8%.

In August Estonian Air carried 62,536 passengers in Tallinn, which is 14.3% more
y-o-y. In the first eight months Estonian Air carried in Tallinn 392,280 passengers in Tallinn, which is 8.6% more y-o-y.

In the beginning of September Estonian Air increased frequencies on six year-round routes, and resumed flights between Tallinn and Vilnius. “We hope that increased frequencies will improve the connectivity from and via Tallinn. Thus we can offer better product to both business and leisure travellers, which is basis for our further growth” said Rauno Parras, Estonian Air Commercial Vice President.

Estonian Air operated 7,578 flights in the first eight months, which is 12.1% more flights y-o-y. In August 1,027 flights were operated, which is 14.6% more flights y-o-y.

Estonian Air is among most punctual carriers in the world. The regularity of Estonian Air flights in the first eight months was 99.2%, which is 1.2 percentage points higher y-o-y. The 15-minute punctuality was 91%, which is 4.2 percentage points higher y-o-y.

In August the regularity and the punctuality were 99.6% and 92% respectively.
