KAMAZ and IDGC Holding Move to Long-Term Contractual Relationships
OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2011. Today, OJSC KAMAZ and JSC IDGC Holding have signed an additional agreement to continue and develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
The document was signed by Director General of JSC IDGC Holding Nikolay Shvets and General Director of OJSC KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin. The agreement concerns the issues of long-term contractual relationships. The document provides for conditions relating to delays in delivery, responsibility for delays in delivery, obligations to organize maintenance of products and their modernization, as well as the mechanism of formation of long-term prices for vehicles.
Since the launch of production, KAMAZ vehicles have been used by the Russian power supply network facilities. They are applied as high-sided trucks, bolster-type tractors, mobile cranes, elevated work platforms, drilling-crane machines, vehicles to transport crews, as well as chassis for other special equipment and machinery. Special equipment on the KAMAZ platform (such as telescopic towers) was effectively used during elimination of consequences of the anomalous natural phenomena in Moscow area last winter.
IDGC Holding is Russia’s leading company using specialized equipment produced by OJSC KAMAZ. These are elevated work platforms with various lift heights, truck cranes, drilling-crane machines, crew vehicles, electrical laboratories and dumpers. To date, the fleet of the KAMAZ special vehicles already operated by companies of IDGC Holding numbers more than 1,000 units.
"The cooperation of JSC IDGC Holding and OJSC KAMAZ is developing successfully,” said Director General of JSC IDGC Holding Nikolay Shvets after the signing ceremony. “Under last year’s agreements, we formed a joint working group of technical experts whose main goal is to adapt products of OJSC KAMAZ to the requirements of operating companies of JSC IDGC Holding and develop requirements specifications for automotive equipment."
According to Nikolay Shvets, one of the tangible results of the group’s activity in 2011 was the development of technical requirements and delivery of 2 crew vehicles based on a modern KAMAZ-43501 vehicle to JSC IDGC of Center and Volga Region. In addition, General Director of JSC IDGC Holding highly appreciated an effective solution of problems concerning delivery of spare parts, and also warranty and after-sales service.
General Director of OJSC KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin said, "IDGC Holding is our long-time partner. Our collaboration is notable for an innovation approach. Equipment developed for the holding is unique. This helps us develop promising areas of our business. And IDGC is a company trying to use innovation products."
In 2010, the operating companies of IDGC Holding received 33 vehicles from OJSC KAMAZ. It is planned to deliver 111 vehicles – more than three times as many – to the company in 2011. According to the long-term plan to supply the operating companies of JSC IDGC Holding with KAMAZ machinery, the company’s truck fleet will be increased by 242 units in 2012. By the way, the most part of KAMAZ vehicles will be delivered to JSC IDGC of Center – 69 units of motor vehicles.
The long-term contractual relationship will give a new impetus to the development of high-tech industrial products for the electric industry.
